Dr. Essa A. Alharbi
Founder & CTO

Essa A. Alharbi obtained his Ph.D. degree in Photoincs under the supervision of Prof. Michael Graetzel at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland who discovered molecular photovoltaics, being the first to conceive and realize mesoscopic photosystems based on molecular light harvesters that convert light very efficiently to electricity. Currently, he is working as Assistant Professor at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He is interested in developing next-generation for indoor and outdoor photovoltaics and optoelectronic devices based on low-cost hybrid materials. His focus is to bring photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices based on these emerging low-cost hybrid materials closer to the market. He has over 15 years experience in photovoltaic and optoelectronic devices.
